Centerville, GA - John James Vaughn Sr., 80, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021. A private service will be held at Centerville First Baptist at a later date.
Johnny was born on September 4, 1940, to the late Leroy and Inez (Roberson) Vaughn in Rogersville, Alabama. After graduation he pursued a job in the cotton industry. He loved Jesus and in his spare time, he enjoyed cheering on the Atlanta Braves and Alabama Crimson Tide. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife: Betty Hargrove Vaughn; his children: Jay Vaughn (Candy), Kennesaw, GA; Susan Volskay (Casey), Marshallville, GA; his grandchildren: Calla, Sterling, Channing, Raina, Alden, Kelly, and Brooke; his sisters: Eula Bedingfield (Larry) and Erma Wilbanks; and many nieces and nephews.
