Obituary

Warner Robins, GA – Johnny Ruth (Hodges) Hatton, 75, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at the Houston Medical Center. Services celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 1:00 pm at the Warner Robins Church of the Nazarene with Reverend Johnny Rogers, Reverend Cameron Andrews, and Reverend Jeremy Pass officiating. The visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at the Warner Robins Church of the Nazarene from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm. Interment will take place immediately following the services at Perry Memorial Gardens. Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, everyone attending the services are required to wear a mask and maintain social distancing guidelines. Those unable to attend may view the services through Warner Robins Nazarene live stream on their Facebook page. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Warner Robins Church of the Nazarene for their food pantry or Family Promise ministries, 300 Lois Dr. Warner Robins, GA 31093.
Ruth was born on May 16, 1945 in Americus, GA to the late John Henry and Naomi Ruth (Clark) Hodges. She worked as a Purchasing Agent, Bookkeeper, and Office Manager through the years until her retirement in December 2014. Ruth was a faithful and devoted member of Warner Robins Church of the Nazarene where she was the coordinator for both the food pantry and family promise ministries. Ruth was also a member of TOPS of Centerville. She also served as a mentor to many people where she enjoyed cooking and entertaining with family and her friends together to share a meal. Ruth loved people and serving wherever she was needed but her greatest joy came from her family. She will be dearly missed, but we know we will see her again!
Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband of 56 years, Harold K. Hatton; children: Debbie Koon (Chris) of Nashville, TN, Keith Hatton (Kathy) of Nashville, TN and Angie Andrews (Cameron) of Centerville, GA; 6 grandchildren: Kristen Thomas (Jacob), Meredith Godfrey (Grason), Madison Andrews, Matthew Hatton, Caleb Andrews and Elizabeth Hatton; sisters: Sue Rogers (Johnny) of Evans, GA and Peggy Whitten (Steve) of Albany, GA; brother: Dwaine Hodges (Betty) of Albany, GA; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
With honor, Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.

Dear Harold and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Ruth's passing and I regret that I could not attend her service to join you in celebrating her life and home-going. She was a dear Christian lady and a wonderful pastor's wife while you served at the Wrightsville Nazarene Church. W. H. and I were honored to call her our friend and sister in Christ. Know I am praying for your family during these difficult days. I know Our Heavenly Father will give you the comfort and strength you need to meet each day until we are all together again in heaven. Love, Nadine Smith
