Ruth was born on May 16, 1945 in Americus, GA to the late John Henry and Naomi Ruth (Clark) Hodges. She worked as a Purchasing Agent, Bookkeeper, and Office Manager through the years until her retirement in December 2014. Ruth was a faithful and devoted member of Warner Robins Church of the Nazarene where she was the coordinator for both the food pantry and family promise ministries. Ruth was also a member of TOPS of Centerville. She also served as a mentor to many people where she enjoyed cooking and entertaining with family and her friends together to share a meal. Ruth loved people and serving wherever she was needed but her greatest joy came from her family. She will be dearly missed, but we know we will see her again!
Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband of 56 years, Harold K. Hatton; children: Debbie Koon (Chris) of Nashville, TN, Keith Hatton (Kathy) of Nashville, TN and Angie Andrews (Cameron) of Centerville, GA; 6 grandchildren: Kristen Thomas (Jacob), Meredith Godfrey (Grason), Madison Andrews, Matthew Hatton, Caleb Andrews and Elizabeth Hatton; sisters: Sue Rogers (Johnny) of Evans, GA and Peggy Whitten (Steve) of Albany, GA; brother: Dwaine Hodges (Betty) of Albany, GA; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
