Obituary for Jon Robert McEldowney
Warner Robins, GA – Jon Robert McEldowney, 71, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, July 20, 2022. Services celebrating his life will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory with Reverend Clarence Luke officiating the services. The viewing for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the services and immediately following. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 29, 2022, at 11:00 am at Christin Missionary Alliance Church, 721 Hatch St., Corry, PA with a luncheon immediately following the services.
Jon was born on August 13, 1950, in Corry, PA to the late Fred and June (Houghtling) McEldowney. He worked for thirty-six years at Corry Memorial Hospital until his retirement. Jon was extremely proud of his Christian faith and was dedicated to serving the Lord every opportunity he could. He served in the Awana Ministry for 26 years teaching children and teenagers about Jesus. Jon was a great loving father, who put his family first after God. He was family oriented and was a very thoughtful man, never forgetting to acknowledge special occasions for his loved ones with a card or a phone call. Jon was currently attending CenterPoint Church and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, Jon was preceded in death by his sons, Dennis Robert McEldowney and Jason Robert McEldowney.
Left to cherish his life is his wife, Sandra (Cross) McEldowney of Warner Robins, GA; daughter: Michelle McEldowney McMillan (Donald) of Ocilla, GA; son: Jamie Robert McEldowney (Christy) of Shelbyville, KY; daughter: Jen Lynn McEldowney of Albany, GA; son: Joel Robert McEldowney of Warner Robins, GA; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother: Dan McEldowney (Pat) of Corry, PA; sisters: Linda Sue Collins of Elyria, OH, Dona Fox (David) of Union City, PA, and Judy Blakeslee of Corry, PA; numerous nieces and nephews.
