Warner Robins, GA- Jongruk (Sandy) Smith, 81, went to be with the Lord on Friday, the 28th day of September, 2018. The family will receive guests on Tuesday, October 2nd, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of the Bridge Church, located at 2758 Hwy 41 N., Fort Valley, GA (between Russell Parkway and GA Hwy 96). A memorial service will follow at the same location at 4:00 p. m. the same day.
Sandy was born on April 17th, 1937 to Banchaton and Boonchuay Deepankaew in Lao Village, Muang District, Thailand. Without question, Sandy was the “Queen of Yard Sales” in this area for several years. However, those who knew her best will probably have more vivid and lasting memories of her cooking. She simply loved to cook for her family.
Sandy is survived by her husband, Burbridge (B. C.) Smith of Warner Robins, Georgia, her children Chintana Wright of Warner Robins, Georgia, Pranee Bassett of Warner Robins Georgia, her son Chanh Phonthipsavath of St. Petersburg, Florida, and her son Andy Smith (Tracy) of Warner Robins Georgia. Her surviving grandchildren include Christopher Wright, Amanda Wright, Konner and Kaleb Smith, Gene & Nick Phonthipsavath, and Justin Davis. Her surviving great-grandchildren are Preston and Kristyn Wright and Niyah Reyes. Additionally, she is survived by her sister, Bunyada Nantachotkitikorn, her brothers Sommpong Deepankaew and Yong Deepankaew, all of Thailand, and her brother Tawii Deepankaew of Belgium.
