Obituary for Joseph William Lewis
Byron, GA- Joseph William Lewis, 77, passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018 at Pine Pointe Hospice in Macon, GA. The family will receive friends at 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 10, 2018 at Middle Georgia Memory Garden.
Joseph Lewis was born on January 6, 1941 in Macon, Georgia to the late Roy and Annie (Mote) Lewis. Mr. Lewis worked as a supervisor at Robins Air Force Base for many years. He enjoyed spending his time watching NASCAR, fishing and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Fay S. Lewis and brother and sister, James and Betty Lewis.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Joey (Melanie) Lewis of Bonaire, GA; Mable (Bill) Lemna of McDonough, GA; Darren (Cathy) Lewis of Sparta, GA; his grandchildren, Amanda Cash of Bonneah, SC; Steven Lewis of Bonaire, GA; Justin Lewis of Del Rio, Texas and Ashley Lemna of McDonough, GA; step-grandchildren, Ashley Edwards and Cody Sryock; sisters, Estelle Adams of Macon, GA and Sadie McCrary of Jacksonville, Florida, as well as several nieces and nephews.
