Warner Robins, GA – Joseph Arthur Thomas, 74, went home to be with the Lord on August 25, 2021, at Navicent Health in Macon, GA. Services celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. Visitation will be held one hour prior at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory.
Joe was born in Elkview, West Virginia on October 25, 1946, to the late Jessie Seybert Thomas and Kathryn Florence (Snyder) Thomas.
Joe was retired from Robins Air Force Base as a Contractor. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed genealogy, solitaire, watching bicycle racing (Tour de France), and college football. His greatest joy was his family, especially his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
In addition to his father and mother, Joe was preceded in death by his brother, John “Bill” Thomas. Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife Rebecca “Becky” Thomas; children: Kathryn Millard (Daniel), Greg Krohne (Aleena), John Thomas (Debra), Hannah Devillier, Sarah Sims (Brian) Hall, and Timothy Sims; grandchildren: Melissa (Joey), Iona, Liam, Ezra, Levi, Maggie, Anna, Zane, Abigail, Michael, Gaberial, and William; great grandchildren: Maliyah, Cory, and Kai; brothers: Jessie “Pete” Thomas, Jeremiah “Jerry” Thomas (Nancy), James “Bob” Robert Thomas, Jonathan “Eddie” Thomas; sister: Pearl “Sis” Anderson (Bill); Uncle: Clint Snyder (Kathy) and many nieces and nephews.
