Obituary for Joyce Clementine Fightmaster (Rule)

Warner Robins, GA, Joyce Fightmaster, age 77, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, surrounded by her family.

Joyce was born on August 1, 1944, in Kirksey, Kentucky to the late John Roosevelt and Mary Frances Rule. She served in the United States Navy, and then later worked as a medical transcriptionist until she retired. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She had two cats, Frodo and Saru, that were her faithful companions. She is a proud breast cancer survivor.

Joyce loved her garden. She had many beautiful plants and flowers and took great pride in them. She loved to cook meals for her family all the time, but especially over the holidays. She loved to sew and enjoyed making wreaths and centerpieces. She enjoyed travelling and had the opportunity to visit many places. She was a strong Christian, member of Life Church, and Sandy Valley Baptist Church was also church home to her. She loved to sing and minister in any way she was needed. Christ, family, church family and friends were everything to her. She never knew a stranger and had an abundance of friends whom she loved dearly and who loved her.

Family was everything to Joyce and she was everything to her family. Her family will cherish the precious time they had with her and will hold her memory alive in their hearts.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Robert Fightmaster (Debbie), daughter, Diana Wilson (Kenneth); 4 grandchildren, Keyth Fightmaster (Jacquelann), Elizabeth Floyd (Dillon), Kenny Wilson and Shawna Wilson; and 3 great grandchildren, Waylon Floyd, Larissa Wilson and Lenny Gupton.

With honor, Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Tunnels 2 Towers, The National Kidney Foundation or Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation can be made.
