Obituary for Judy Gaultney Sanders
Warner Robins, GA – Judith “Judy” Sanders, 71, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 25, 2022. A visitation will be held at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel, Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 6 to 8 pm. A service celebrating her life will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022 at 11:00 am at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. She will have a private burial with family only at Antioch Baptist Church to be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Danny Sanders. In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Judy has asked that all donations be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
Judy was born on September 2, 1950, in Butler, Georgia to the late Willie Grandin and Ruth Irene (Guy) Gaultney. She was an Office manager for many years at Southeastern Telephone Services before she retired. In her spare time, Judy enjoyed all things politics! She was apart of the Houston County Republican Party, held every office, and was treasurer for the 8th District GOP. She also was apart of the Pilot Club in Perry. Mrs. Judy loved attending Antioch Baptist Church on Sundays. Although she loved flowers and gardening, she couldn’t seem to get anything to grow but she enjoyed trying. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.
Judy is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Danny Sanders; parents: Willie and Ruth Gaultney; and her dear brother: Danny Gaultney.
Left to cherish her memory is her sons: Shane Sanders (Kristi) of Warner Robins, GA, Steve Sanders of Warner Robins, GA, and Charles Sanders (Nancie) of Union Point, GA; 6 grandchildren: Reagan Sanders, Brooke Sanders, Abigail Sanders, Breanna Sanders, Carter Sanders, and Caleb Sanders.
