Obituary for Karen Rae James (James)
Perry, GA – Karen Rae James, 62, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at Heart of Georgia Inpatient Unit in Perry, GA. A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory.
Karen was born on December 28, 1958, in Fontana, CA to the late Ernest James and Molly Ann Gesler. She was a hard worker, who always put her family first and made sure their needs were provided. Karen was independent, enjoyed gardening, loved frogs and found peace in various arts and crafts. She adored her sons, loved her family and believed in Jesus! She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish her memory is her sons: Charles Liercke, III of Perry, GA, Bob Liercke (Merleen) of Montana, and Joe Liercke (Amanda) of Kathleen, GA; 10 grandchildren; brother: Dennis James of Missouri; sister: Donna Vasquez of New Mexico.
