The services celebrating his life also will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 beginning at 3:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory.
Lehman was born on November 23, 1947 in Dublin, GA to the late William H.J. Watson and Marjorie (Evans) Watson. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy and attended Middle Tennessee State University. Lehman was a faithful and loyal fan of the University of Tennessee Volunteers. He was a very talented boxing coach, which awarded him an induction into the T.A.G (Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia) Hall of Fame. In fact, he was the first coach to have three sons, whom he coached, to win the Boxing National Championships. Lehman was a very loving and compassionate man, who always put his family first. He also welcomed many young people into his home who he mentored and coached. Their home earned the nickname of Grand Central Station, due to the number of kids who always found their way to his home. Lehman loved animals, especially bulldogs. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Marsha Faye (Tittle) Watson of Kathleen; sons: Shannon Watson, Chase (Tanya) Watson and Lance Watson all of Kathleen; grandchildren; Lane and Steve Watson, Shane Watson, Jacob Watson; sister: Jeanelle (Don) Swaney; numerous nieces and nephews.
With honor, Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
