Obituary for Lucy Jean Albritton (McGhee)

Perry, GA – Lucy Jean (McGahee) Albritton, 70, passed away Monday, April 1, 2024. The visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, April 9, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel and Crematory. Services celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at 11:00 am at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel and Crematory. Interment will be held at Pinecrest Cemetery in Vidalia, GA at 3:00 pm. Reverend Jay Lauritsen will be officiating.
Lucy was born on October 3, 1953, in Lyons, GA to the late Rev James McGahee and Lucille (Mosely) McGahee. She was a hard worker and worked as a registered nurse for Summerhill Senior Living for many years before retiring. She was married to the love of her life, Wayne Albritton. Lucy unconditionally gave love to everyone around her including friends, family, and coworkers. She loved the beach and relaxing with her family. She served the Lord and was very strong in her faith and served others by helping in any way she could. Lucy also had such an infectious laugh that could light up a room. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, Lucy was preceded in death by her great nephew, Daxon Jennings.
Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband, Wayne Albritton of Ideal, GA; daughter: Andrea McGahee of Warner Robins, GA; granddaughter: Adia McGAhee of Warner Robins, GA; sister: Jerry Ferguson of The Colony, TX; nieces: Marissa Sullivan of Abilene, TX and Kimberly Jennings of The Colony, TX; 1 great niece: Phoebe; and 2 great nephews: Colton and Asher
