Obituary for Mark Steven Shockley

Mark Steven Shockley 62 of Warner Robins, GA passed away December 13, 2021. Funeral service will be at 11a.m. Friday, December 17, 2021, at Morgan Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10 until 11a.m. Burial is currently pending, but will be posted soon. Mark will be laid to rest at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Macon, GA.
Mark was born on Anniston, AL to John N. and Juanita Shockley in February 6, 1959. He was a graduate of Oxford High School Class of 1977. Mark was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He retired in 2010 as a supervisor with Dairy Fresh (LaLa USA). In his retirement Mark enjoyed football Saturdays, always with his favorite “football dip” and binge watching Oak Island, Street Outlaws, The Walking Dead and Wrestling. His favorite past time, however, was being G-Pa to his beloved grandsons. And as all who knew Mark knew his other favorite past time was talking. He would talk to anyone who would stand still and everyone loved him. There are no words to say how deeply loved and missed he will be. We are assured through our faith that we will once again be reunited in Heaven.
He was preceded in death by his father, John N. Shockley; mother, Juanita McCormack Shockley; and brother, David Shockley.
Mark is survived by his wife, Trisha Shockley; children, Kelly Nicole Segers, Kayla (Kenny) Shepherd, Kristen (Melissa) Shockley; family friend, Aaron Wisner; grandchildren, Reilynn Lane Melvin, Kenneth Wayne (Tripp) Shepherd III, Braylee Melvin; mother in law, Sis Alexander; sister, Rachel Ford; brother, Michael Shockley; nephew, Adrian Ford; niece, Karen Ford (Mike) Price.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Special thanks to Patricia Brooks, Rhonda Abbot, Rhonda and Greg Elder and Henrietta and Horace Morgan.
