Obituary for Marlin Glen Wade

Warner Robins, GA – Marlin Glen Wade, 84, passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021, at the Houston Medical Center. Services celebrating his life will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021, at Parkway Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel at 10:00 am with entombment immediately following services. The visitation for family and friends will be one hour prior to the services. Reverend Jay Lauritsen will be officiating.
Marlin was born on April 20, 1937, in Thomaston, GA to the late Charles Curtis Wade and Eva Grace (Piper) Wade. He was a graduate of R.E. Lee High School in Thomaston. Marlin proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Navy as a navigator. He was retired from Robins Air Force Base, where he worked in gun control. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, traveling, and radio-controlled airplanes. Marlin was an avid gun collector, guitar collector and an accomplished musician. His greatest joy was known as papa’s baby, his grandson, Layton. In addition to his parents, Marlin was preceded in death by his son, Jason Wade, and his sister, Vivadawn Kirkland.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Jenice Wade of Warner Robins, GA; daughter: Amy Carroll (Bill) of Warner Robins, GA; grandson: Layton Carroll of Warner Robins, GA; sisters: Martha Barfield and Madie Brooks both of Thomaston, GA; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
