Reynolds, GA – Martha Louise (Jackson) McCrary, 90, joined her husband on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, in her heavenly home. A service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at 2:30 pm at the Crowell United Methodist Church with Lynn Martin officiating the services. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved Samuel McCrary in the church cemetery. The visitation for family and friends will begin at 1:00 pm until 2:15 pm at the Crowell Community Center prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Martha, or Mot as she was affectionately known, was born on January 6, 1932, in Fort Valley, GA to the late Rufus and Mildred (Hamlin) Jackson. She worked for over 22 years at the Citizens State Bank in Reynolds, GA as an assistant cashier until her retirement. Mot enjoyed sewing, painting, and coloring, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a long-time faithful member of the Crowell United Methodist Church and will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, Mot was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Booker McCrary.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons: David McCrary (Delane) of Reynolds, GA, and Bob McCrary (Judy) of Manchester, GA; daughter: Amy McCrary Walton (Jim) of Fort Valley, GA; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.
