Obituary for Frances Childree

Warner Robins, GA – Mary Frances Childree, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 18, 2022, at the Hazel Colson Inpatient Unit in Perry, GA. Services celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Second Baptist Church with Dr. Jim Perdue and Reverend Mike Slade officiating. The burial will immediately follow at Perry Memorial Gardens. The visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the services.
Frances was born on March 31, 1937, in Columbus, GA to the late Paul and Lois (Collins) Jones. She retired as a civil service employee from Robins Air Force Base as a computer analyst. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, and reading. Frances was an active member of Second Baptist Church, where she served in the blanket ministry, volunteered with the senior luncheons, and served on the bereavement team. She was a member of the Joy Jubilee Sunday School Class. In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Quinton Childree.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Richard Childree (Rhonda) of Conroe, TX; daughters: Joyce Hamlin (Wayne) of Warner Robins, and Shirley Smith (Chuck) of Lizella GA; grandson: Jeremy Miller (Beth); great-grandchildren: Colby and John Miller; brother: Jim Jones of Bonaire. And many nieces and nephews.
