Obituary for Melvin Julius Warrick

Warner Robins, GA – Melvin Julius Warrick, 72, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at the Houston Medical Center. A visitation for his family and friends will be held on Sunday, November 15, 2020 from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory.
Melvin was born on March 6, 1948 in Louisburg, NC to the late Fred and Euzelle Wardrick. He was always happy and enjoyed making people laugh. Melvin never met a stranger and always welcomed everyone into their home for a good meal and warm fellowship. There was never a dull moment when he was around, and his family and friends will forever cherish those moments. He enjoyed cooking; in fact, they ran a family catering business for many years. Melvin was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Bertha Lee (Toomer) Wardrick of Warner Robins; sons, Abdul Ezell of Alabama and Melvin Fitzgerald Wardrick of Warner Robins, GA; 3 step-children, Gena Dion (Outley) Jordan of Macon, GA, Dexter Lee Outley (Joyce) of Brandywine, Maryland and Jill Alicia (Outley) King of Warner Robins, GA; 9 grandchildren Jamel Antonio Roland, Shanice Sandria Wardrick, Alexis Fitzgerald, Chanel Outley, Ashley Lumpkin-Garrard, Chamea Outley, Raven King, Christian Jordan, and Daijah Outley; 6 great-grandchildren, a sister, Betty Lois Pender of Brooklyn, New York, a brother, Harvey Wardrick of New Port News, Virginia, a Godson, Dewayne Fitzgerald and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his father and mother, and his siblings; Arvey, Annette, and Thomas AKA Tick.
