Byron, GA- Michael Todd Garrison, 41, passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2018 surrounded by his many loving family and friends at the Houston Medical Center. There will be a celebration of his life on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. The visitation with family and friends will be one hour prior to the services beginning at 1:00 pm. Todd will be laid to rest in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Fort Valley. The family would like to request that everyone please dress in their best Georgia Bulldawg red and black in Todd’s honor. Flowers are accepted but the family would like to request donations to Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel with Todd Garrison in the subject line.
Todd was born on December 11, 1976 in Warner Robins to the late Stephen M. Garrison and his beloved mother, Debra (Brown) Garrison of Byron. He was a 1995 graduate of Peach County High School, where he played football and made many friends. Todd never complained about anything and always brought a smile to everyone he encountered. He was known as an excellent cook having worked for various restaurants, the last being Martin’s BBQ. Most notably he was considered by all who knew him, the University of Georgia’s biggest fan. Todd loved his Bulldawgs but his mother was his world. In addition to his father, Todd was preceded in death by the love of his life, Sarah Sisson; maternal grandmother, Martha “Mimi” Higginbotham; maternal grandfather, E.V. Brown and maternal great-grandmother, Myrtis “grandmamma” Leaptrot.
Left to cherish his memory is his great-uncle, Strib McCants (Jane) of Fort Valley; numerous cousins, family and friends.
