Obituary for Michael Kevin Kearney

Byron, GA – Chief Petty Officer, Michael Kevin Kearney, Sr., USN (Ret.), 60, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 7, 2019 at his residence. Services celebrating his life will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory with Father Fred Nijem officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services and immediately following.
Michael was born on December 7, 1958 in Queens, NY to the late Lillian (McPhee) Kearney. He honorably and faithfully served his country in the United States Navy, where he retired as a Chief Petty Officer. Michael continued his service as a civil service employee with the United States Postal Service until his health forced him to retire. He loved fast cars, especially his convertibles. Michael was an avid sports fan, enjoyed drinking his beer and was a sharp dressed man.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Delaine (Vaughn) Kearney of Byron, GA; son: Michael Kevin Kearney, Jr. of Byron, GA; grandson: Chance Kearney of Byron, GA; numerous other family and friends.
