Obituary for Myra Pfeiffer (Messemer)
FORT VALLEY, GA- Myra Catherine Pfeiffer, 88, died on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at Lifespring Church Home Rehabilitation and Healthcare. A memorial mass will be held at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church in Perry, Georgia on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at 3:00 pm. Myra will be later interred with her loving husband at Arlington National Cemetery. Myra was born in The Bronx borough of New York City, New York on July 13, 1931 to the late Tom and Margaret (Nette) Messemer. She worked for many years as a secretary for Bristol Myers Squibb Global Biopharmaceutical Company until her retirement. She loved spending her time playing Bridge and gourmet cooking. Myra will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of forty-four years, John Joseph Pfeiffer and two brothers, Thomas and Kenneth Messemer.
Left to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Lauralee (Andreas) Seibold, Margo (Samuel D. III) Pfeiffer-Wright and Kristine Pfeiffer; grandchildren, Lauren C., Julia A., Mariah, Miles, Maya, Tristan and Trinity and brother, Edgar Messemer.
