Obituary for Nathaniel C. "Nat" Musselwhite

PERRY, GA-
Nathaniel Musselwhite, 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by his beloved family on Monday, December 10, 2018 at the Heart of Georgia Hospice Inpatient Unit in Perry, GA. Funeral services celebrating his life will be held at Cross Point Baptist Church in Perry on Friday, December 14, 2018 at 1:30 pm. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:30 before the service. Mr. Musselwhite will be laid to rest at Parkway Memorial Gardens following the services. Reverend Jeremy Morton will be officiating. The family may be contacted at the home of Rita Bridges, 375 Lakeview Dr., Fort Valley, GA 31030. The family respectfully requests that donations be made to the alzheimer’s association.
Nat was born on October 17, 1931 in Cordele, GA to the late Ephriam and Lola (Baker)
Musselwhite. He retired from Robins Air Force Base after working thirty years as a supply liaison supervisor and was a worship minister for fifty years. Nat sang in two different quartets and with his family for many years. Aside from serving the Lord, his passion in life was woodworking, music and his beloved grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Nat was preceded in death by his sister; Edith Athon, brothers; Joseph Musselwhite, Marion Musselwhite and his grandsons, Brian Musselwhite and Christopher Oody. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 69 years, Margie (Pinkard) Musselwhite of Perry, GA; children: Glen Musselwhite (Sarah) of Hawkinsville, GA, Rita Bridges (Oscar) of Fort Valley, GA, Debra Oliver (Eddie) of Byron, GA and Teri Oody (Chuck) of Macon, GA; grandchildren: Wendy Purvis (Ben), Chad Rush (Jessica), Jason Oliver (Jennifer), Brandi Cook (Ashley), Josh O’Rear (Stacy), Jessica Brewer and Heather Oody; 19 great- grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
