Obituary for Nellesia Nicolia Spencer (Spencer)

Macon, GA - Nellesia Nicolia Spencer, 43, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 8, 2019 at Pine Pointe Hospice in Macon, GA. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 11:00 am at Immanuel Baptist Church, 129 Yukon Rd., Macon, GA 31217. Interment will follow at Middle Georgia Memory Gardens, Joycliff Rd., Macon, GA 31211. Dr. Bert Hickman will be officiating.
Nellesia was born on November 17, 1975 in St. Andrew, Jamaica to the late Edgar Spencer and Mavis Eunice (Turner) Spencer of St. Augustine, FL. She was a homemaker and an excellent mother to her children. Nellesia had a great sence of humor and always enjoyed making others smile. In her formative years she attended Braeton Basic and Naggo Head Primary Schools and graduated from St Hugh’s High and Dunoon Technical High Schools. She continued her studies at the Portmore Heart Academy, Churches Teacher’s College and graduated with Teaching Diploma in Mathematics (Double Option) at Mico Teacher’s College.
She started working at Rural Agricultural Development Authority (RADA) and then her teaching career after graduating from college as a Mathematics Teacher at St Mary High School. Nellie attended the Portmore New Testament Church of God while living in Jamaica and was integral in the Sunday School program.
Left to cherish her memory is her fiance, Joseph Blair of Macon, GA; mother: Mavis Eunice Spencer of St. Augustine, FL; children: Akeem Kashmore Blair and Joshua Blair both of Macon, GA; brothers: Vivian Spencer of Conyers, GA and Milton Spencer of St. Augustine, FL; sister: Sharmine Spencer- Webb of British Columbia, Canada.
