Obituary for Olga María Deaza

Kathleen, GA – Olga María Deaza, 92, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at her residence. Services celebrating her life will be held on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory with Reverend Norman Brockway officiating. A second service will be held after the new year at Dahlonega Baptist Church in Dahlonega, GA with Dr. Bill Hutchison officiating.
Olga was born on July 20, 1928 in Bogota, Colombia, South America to the late Marco Tulia Deaza and Mercedes Plazas de Deaza. She was a dedicated and faithful homemaker, who always put her family first. Olga loved people and never met a stranger. She had an infectious sense of humor and loved bringing a smile to everyone she met. Olga enjoyed reading, sewing, and writing. She was very creative and artistic. She loved the Lord and living her life as an example of Christ. Olga was a member of Second Baptist Church in Warner Robins, GA.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Aida Ramos and son-in-law, Jim Frentheway of Kathleen, GA; sister: Leonor Deaza de Carrasco; brothers: Manuel Deaza and Carlos Deaza; niece: Patricia Forero, who she was closest; many other nieces and nephews from abroad.
