Obituary

Warner Robins, GA – Opie “Lee” Bridges, 51, died on Monday, September 21, 2020 at Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins, GA. The services celebrating his life will be held at a later date.
Lee was born on July 9, 1969 in Lumberton, NC to the late Colon and Ida Pearl (Ray) Bridges. He faithfully and honorably served his country in the United States Navy, where he retired as a Chief Petty Officer. While serving in the Navy, Lee worked as a Culinary Specialist. His love for cooking continued in his civilian life as he enjoyed cooking and entertaining his family and friends. Lee also enjoyed gardening and working in his yard, but his greatest joy came from Berry, his pet Chihuahua. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Ray.
Left to cherish his memory is his sister: Audrey Ray of Warner Robins, GA; brothers: Patrick D. Ray (Margaret) of Spring Lake, NC and James Roberts (Carolyn) of Alexandria, Louisiana; nieces: Erica and Nia Harness and Shelly and Shanise Johnson; nephew: James, Jr. and many extended family and friends.
Please visit www.burpeescottmemorialchapel.com to sign the online guestbook and to leave a memorial tribute for the family. With honor, Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.

We pray that God wraps His loving arms around you all providing comfort during this difficult time. Mr.Bridges was a wonderful neighbor to us. The kids enjoyed watching his little dog walk every step with him as he cut the grass! He will be missed ~ Sincere Condolences from The Clark family.
