Obituary for Opie Lee Bridges

Warner Robins, GA – Opie “Lee” Bridges, 51, died on Monday, September 21, 2020 at Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins, GA. The services celebrating his life will be held at a later date.
Lee was born on July 9, 1969 in Lumberton, NC to the late Colon and Ida Pearl (Ray) Bridges. He faithfully and honorably served his country in the United States Navy, where he retired as a Chief Petty Officer. While serving in the Navy, Lee worked as a Culinary Specialist. His love for cooking continued in his civilian life as he enjoyed cooking and entertaining his family and friends. Lee also enjoyed gardening and working in his yard, but his greatest joy came from Berry, his pet Chihuahua. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Ray.
Left to cherish his memory is his sister: Audrey Ray of Warner Robins, GA; brothers: Patrick D. Ray (Margaret) of Spring Lake, NC and James Roberts (Carolyn) of Alexandria, Louisiana; nieces: Erica and Nia Harness and Shelly and Shanise Johnson; nephew: James, Jr. and many extended family and friends.
