Obituary for Patricia Marie Bryan (Anthoine)

Patricia Marie Anthoine Bryan passed away Friday June 16, 2023 at the Atrium Health Navicent Peach Hospital.

Services will be held Monday-June 19, 2023 at 11AM in the Fellowship Hall of the First Baptist Church, Fort Valley, GA. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service and one hour after the service.

“Miss” Pat, as she was widely known, was born March 23, 1935 in Fort Valley, GA in her childhood home at 243 Anderson Avenue to Edgar Love Anthoine, SR. and Adjean McDaniel Anthoine. She grew up the third of eight loving siblings. Pat dearly loved growing up on Anderson Avenue, spending time with her siblings, and had great memories of the activities she was involved in with the neighborhood children.

Pat loved the First Baptist Church and her Church Family dearly. She was a former Sunday School Teacher, Director of the 39ers as well as the Social Committee, and worked in the Jack and Jill Kindergarten, also at the Church. She was a perfectionist in everything she did when it came to her responsibilities at the Church.

Pat so enjoyed working in her yard. It was her therapy, staying out all day, sun-up to sun-down; particularly during the summer. She was a whiz at mowing grass, edging with the weed eater, and watering flowers. In her later years, she had a swimming pool that she kept clean for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren to enjoy complete with beautiful Daylilies in the landscape.

Pat is survived by her loving husband Jerry Clayton Bryan. Three sons: Edgar Clayton Bryan (Sharon), Steven Mark Bryan, and Jeffery Todd Bryan (Wendy). Grandchildren: Melissa Alden (Travis), Clay Bryan (Amber) and Laura Liz Bryan. Great-grandchildren: Taylor Alden, Ross Alden, Harris Bryan, and Mattie Bryan. Brothers: Edgar Anthoine, JR. (Polly), Ray Anthoine (Rochelle), Sister in-law, Dale Anthoine and Brother in-law, Mike Shaw. Additionally, she is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins that she loved unconditionally.

She was preceded in death by her parents Edgar Love Anthoine, SR. and Adjean McDaniel Anthoine. Her siblings, Beverly McElmurray, Edwina Hudson, Roy Anthoine, Brenda Shaw and Jerry Anthoine
