Obituary for Richard Sanders "Rick" Farage
Warner Robins, GA – Richard Sanders “Rick” Farage, 73, passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, September 11, 2022. A memorial gathering celebrating his life will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2022, from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Dr, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
Rick was born on March 29, 1949, in Lansing, MI to the late Nyme and June (Brawley) Farage. He also lived in Saginaw, MI and Traverse City, MI where he graduated high school. Rick moved to the south in the early 80’s and eventually to Georgia settling in Warner Robins for the last 40 years of his life. He faithfully and honorably served his country in the United States Marines. Rick was currently employed with the City of Warner Robins as a supervisor in the Public Works Department. He also had previously worked as sales representative for Johnny Walker Scotch, where he received many accolades for his work. Rick was an exceptionally talented golfer; in fact, he worked as the golf pro at The Landings Golf Club for several years. He enjoyed riding his Harley’s, and cheering on his Michigan State Spartans, Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves.
Left to cherish His memory is his beloved wife, Elisa (Sedwick) Farage of Warner Robins, GA; son: Ryan Farage (Kara) of Traverse City, MI; two grandchildren: Taylor and Elle Farage; brothers: Mike Farage (Maryann) with children Mark and Matt Farage of South Port, NC, and Jeff Farage (Sue Lynn) of Boca Raton, FL; sister: Jamie Cielewich (Scott) of Orlando, FL; step-daughter: Kaylie Barker of Perry, GA; step-son: William Barker of Fort Valley, GA; father-in-law: B.H. “Gator” Sedwick of St. Mary’s, GA; and beloved cocker spaniel, Baxter.
