Obituary for Robert Matthew Nicholson

Robert “Bob” Matthew Nicholson, 29, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 9, 2019 at the Coliseum Medical Center in Macon, GA with his loving wife and family by his side. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, December 13, 2019 at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory, 2932 Highway 41 North, Fort Valley, Georgia, 31030. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. Robert will then be laid to rest next to his mother at Salem Cemetery in Upson county. The graveside service will be private for family and very close friends.
Robert was born on August 28, 1990 in Thomaston, Georgia to James “Tom” Nicholson and the late Tria Carlene (Dollar) Nicholson. Robert was working as an equipment manager in the Macon-Bibb parks and beautification. He loved spending time working on and driving cars and playing video games. Robert loved fishing with his best bud, Ryan, but nothing compared to spending time with his dad, his best friend. Robert loved spending time with his wife and making her laugh. He enjoyed every second he had with family and friends and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. In addition to his mother, Robert is preceded in death by his sister, Darlene, baby brother and Granny and Granddaddy Dollar.
Left to cherish his beloved memory are his loving wife, Lindsay (Thrasher) Nicholson; dad, James Thomas Nicholson; aunt and uncle Carol and Alton Silver and both the Nicholson and Dollar families.
Robert will be laid to rest at a family cemetery where his mom is at rest. Right now the cemetery is kept up and maintained by family of those who rest there. In lieu of flowers, Robert's wife, Lindsay, would love to collect a fund to hire someone to keep the grounds or to fund the equipment and maintenance that goes into the upkeep of the grounds, for at least a period of time. Lindsay knows this is what Robert would want to do for his family. Please feel free to give at the link below or contact Lindsay Nicholson on how you can give if you chose not to give on this platform. 100% of the funds will go to this cause.
