Kathleen, GA – Robert “Bobby” Roland Reese, 75, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his family. Services celebrating his life will be held on Monday, April 11, 2022, at 11:00 am at Second Baptist Church, 2504 Moody Rd, Warner Robins, GA 31088 with Reverends Mike Slade, and Julius Raines officiating the services. The visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the services. Bobby will be laid to rest with military honors on Tuesday, at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, GA in a private, family only ceremony. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Second Baptist Church, Victory Sports Greater Things, 2504 Moody Rd., Warner Robins, GA 31088.
Bobby was born on June 23, 1946, in Cairo, GA to the late Hiram Herbert Reese and the late Mary Evelyn (Green) Reese. He faithfully and honorably served his country in the United States Navy. He retired from Robins Air Force Base after 35 years in civil service. Bobby was a faithful and active member of Second Baptist Church, where he served in various ministries, Victory Sports was specifically a special ministry to him. He was a member of the Upper Room Sunday School Class. Bobby was always a light to everyone he encountered, always smiling and genuinely caring and humble. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Belinda Reese of Kathleen, GA; daughter: Carly Reese Edwards of Warner Robins, GA; sons: Evan Michael Schexnayder of Yorktown, VA, and Dylan Scott Schexnayder of Kathleen, GA; grandchildren: Carmen and Tanner Edwards; sister: Susan Wellborn (Frank) of Macon, GA; nieces: Tera Yelverton (Keith) of Griffin, GA, and Erin Jennings (Jim) of Warner Robins, GA; nephew: Adam Wellborn of Fort Valley, GA; many great nieces, nephews and extended family.
