Warner Robins, Georgia- Rodney Beverly Hicks, Jr., 53, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Grady Hospital in Atlanta, GA. The visitation with family and friends will be held on Monday, July 9, 2018 from 6:00- 8:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. Funeral services celebrating the life of Rodney will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. At the request of his family, everyone is asked to please dress casual.
Rodney was born on April 7, 1965 in Warner Robins, GA to the late Rodney, Sr. and Mary Joyce (Horton) Culpepper. He was a self employed contractor for most of his life. Rodney loved to fish and travel but his greatest passion was music. Rodney was the stage manager/ roadie for the Doc Holiday Band and also with many other local bands in our area. Rodney loved to go fast, hence his love for NASCAR and the NHRA. Rodney had a huge heart and was always willing to help others. In addition to his parents, Rodney was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Carly Nicole Cannon.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Angela (Cannon) Hicks of Warner Robins; son: Nathan Cannon (Houston) of Warner Robins; 3 grandchildren: Laila, Eason and Caden. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
