Obituary for Roy Dewayne Kirk
Byron, GA – Roy Dewayne Kirk, 66, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2019 after a short battle with cancer. Services celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. The visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior and immediately following the services. Reverend Eugene Barlow will be officiating.
Roy was born on March 27, 1953 in San Francisco, CA to the late Roy Smith Kirk and his beloved mother, Lillian Faye (Treadwell) Smith of Byron, GA. Roy worked as a self-employed truck driver for most of his life. He loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed. In addition to his father, Roy was preceded in death by his brother, Chuck Smith.
Left to cherish his memory is his lifelong companion, Cathy Foskey of Byron, GA; mother: Lillian Smith of Byron, GA; sister: Widella “Wid” Smith of Byron, GA; brother: John Smith of Arizona.
