Byron, GA – Roye Dean Oglesby, 27, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 8, 2022, in Byron, GA. Services celebrating his life will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2022, at 3:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory with Reverend Brandon Lee officiating. The viewing for family and friends will be held two hours prior to the services beginning at 1:00 pm.
Roye was born on June 27, 1995, in Warner Robins to James “Jimmy” Dean Oglesby and Joye Hubble. He was currently employed with GDP Trucking Incorporated as a delivery driver. Roye enjoyed drawing and tattooing, mud bogging, rebuilding go-carts, and hanging with his buddies, but his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his children. Roye was preceded in death by his son, Silas James Charles Alexander Sheets; maternal grandfather: Roye Ralph Hubble; paternal grandparents: Melvin Dean Oglesby and Robbie June Hill.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Alexis Oglesby of Byron; mother: Joye Ann Hubble of Macon; father: James “Jimmy” Dean Oglesby; sons: Jasper Wyatt Oglesby and Carter James Oglesby; daughter: Serenity Elizabeth Oglesby; maternal grandmother: Susie M. Hubble.
