Warner Robins, GA - Russell Scott Nixon, 69, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Fort Valley Healthcare. Services celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 11:00 am at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory with interment following at Sherwood Memorial Park & Mausoleum in Jonesboro, GA. The visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the services. Reverend Jay Lauritsen will be officiating the services.
Russell was born on March 23, 1956, in Dekalb County, GA to the late William Davis Nixon and the late Betty Florence (Greer) Collins. He was a graduate of Northside High School. He worked as a car salesman for many years in Warner Robins, until he started his own company selling cleaning products. Russell enjoyed traveling, drag racing, riding motorcycles, and loved collecting and restoring cars and trucks.
In addition to his parents, Russell was preceded in death by his brother, Herman Davis Nixon.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Jaimie Hart (Dustin) and Victoria Mendez (Elvin); four grandchildren; one great grandchild; brother: Carrington Ethridge; nephew: Carrington Ethridge II; many cousins and extended family.
