Eastman, GA – Samuel Clifton Johnson, Jr., 53, was called to Glory by his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at Emory University Hospital. Funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Monday, August 3, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory with interment following on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
Samuel Clifton Johnson Jr. (Boo Boo) was born November 8, 1966 to Samuel C. Johnson Sr., and Jessie Mae Johnson in Orlando, Florida. He started out as a young man picking oranges in the orange groves of Florida and later became a U.S. Army veteran who served during Desert Storm.
He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel C. Johnson Sr., mother, Jessie Mae Johnson, brother, Jessie M. Johnson, and sister April H. L. Payne.
Samuel is survived by brothers, Dexter G. Johnson of Georgia and Lafayette M. Johnson (Laefah) of Florida; children, Antonio Johnson of Florida, Brandon Johnson of Florida, Tevin Johnson (Lindsey) of Maryland, and Deyuandre Preston of Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
