Obituary for Shawn Blevins
Forsyth, GA – James Shawn Blevins, born June 11,1968, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2022. Funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at 11:00 am at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. The visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior. Shawn will be laid to rest at Parkway Memorial Gardens.
Shawn was born in Kincheloe Air Force Base, Michigan to Troy D. Blevins and the late Patricia A. Blevins (Sandsberry). Shawn worked in administration at the Salvation Army. He loved the outdoors, you could always count on him being on the water fishing, hunting or in his garden. Shawn was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and Alabama Crimson Tide.
In addition to his mother, Shawn was preceded in death by his sister Leslie Blevins. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Taylor Blevins of Barnesville, GA; sister Tammy Faux (Rod); brother Troy D. Blevins, Jr.(Jolene); nephews Dusty and Dylan Blevins; caregiver and life partner Mary Klausen; step-mother Edwina Blevins.
