Obituary for Sheila Lynn Howell (Sims)

Kathleen, GA – Sheila Lynn (Sims) Howell, 68, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at The Medical Center Navicent Health. Services celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory with interment immediately following at Parkway Memorial Gardens. The visitation for family and friends will be one hour prior to the services at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. Dr. Jim Perdue will be officiating the services. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Second Baptist Church Building Fund, 2504 Moody Rd., Warner Robins, GA 31088.
Sheila was born on July 10, 1952 in Macon, GA to the late Jimmie and Marjorie (Yaughn) Sims. She was a 1970 graduate of Perry High School. She was hardworking and always put others before herself. She took great pride in serving others. Sheila was known as Mimi, not just with her grandchildren but by others who she welcomed in her home. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, and working the horse farm with her family. Sheila touched many lives and will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Howell.
Left to cherish her memory is her children: Jodi Owens (Bryan) of Kathleen and Clay Howell (Danielle) of Bonaire; grandchildren: Collin, Logan, Preston, Colby, Caden and Saylor; sisters: Shirley Driggers of Kathleen and Terry Sims of Bonaire; numerous extended family and friends.
