Perry, GA – Stanford “Stan” (Griggs) Durrance, 76, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at the Houston Medical Center. At Stan’s request, funeral services will be private and she will be laid to rest next to her parents in Evergreen Cemetery in Perry, GA.
Stan was born on August 7, 1942 in Macon, GA to the late Frederick Stanford and Myrtle Rheunette “Rue” (Ford) Griggs. She was the former manager of the Perry Parkway Self Storage and a long time employee at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry, GA. Stan was a member of the First Baptist Church of Perry, where she was a member for many years. She had a great sense of humor and loved to make people smile. She had a servant’s heart and always put others before herself, especially her family. Stan will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Troy Durrance of Phoenix, AZ and Lance Durrance of Douglasville, GA.
