Warner Robins, GA – Susan Elizabeth Butt, 79, went home to be with the Lord, on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at her residence with her husband at her bedside. Services celebrating her life will be held in the School Chapel at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Fred Nijem officiating. The Date and time of the services is currently pending. Susan was born on January 7, 1944, in Kankakee, IL to the late Rita (Regnier) & Marcel Surprenant. She attended St. Joseph’s Seminary in Bourbonnais, IL. Susan faithfully and honorably served her country in the U. S. Women’s Army Corps from 1963-1965, at the rank of SP3. She was a Discalced Carmelite Nun at Monastery of the Holy Trinity in Katy, TX from 1965-1970. She attended Kankakee Community College from 1971-1972. Susan went on to marry Heinz G. Butt on December 30, 1972, after 50 years of a wonderful marriage. She also attended New York Community College and the Art Students’ League, in New York City and worked in sales at Lord &Taylor, in New York City and volunteered at various hospitals & nursing homes.
She is survived by her husband, her pet dogs: Peaches & Patches, her brother: Michael Surprenant, Sr., and seven nieces and nephews.
