Warner Robins – Sylvan “Van” Joseph Adams, born March 18, 1936, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2022, following complications from a fall in 2020, which compressed his spine, at his home in Warner Robins, GA.
Van was born in Philadelphia, PA. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Price of Warner Robins, his sister, Nymphea Miller of Newport, PA; his daughters: Jennifer Lewis of Kathleen, GA; and Diana Perkins of Fredericksburg, VA; granddaughters: Laci Mize and Brea Nico of Kathleen, GA; and the Perkins grandchildren: Alexander, Austin, and Rachel Iero. Van was a graduate of Temple University and Penn State University. Van was a chemist and practiced real estate in several states. He served and enjoyed multiple volunteer positions in Florida and Georgia. These included the Penn State Club President, Clearwater, FL and senior clubs in Warner Robins and Centerville. He also served on the Board of Directors for the Tampa Bay Computer Club.
Van loved baseball and football and followed his favorite teams: Penn State and the Philadelphia Eagles, over his lifetime with undying loyalty. Van was a chemist, a researcher with a lifelong curiosity and wanted his body donated for scientific research, although he was unable to do this.
Van was cared for at home the last 23 months of his life and wishes to thank all the neighbors, friends, and caregivers who cared for him during his last years.
