Obituary for Sylvia Marie Camp (Phillip)

Perry, GA – Sylvia Marie (Phillip) Camp, 78, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023, at her residence. Services celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory with interment immediately following at Perry Memorial Gardens. The Reverend Stephen Camp will officiate services. The viewing for family and friends will be one hour prior to the services. Sylvia was born on December 19, 1944, in San Angelo, Texas to the late Aloysius George and Edna (Harper) Phillip. She worked retail sales at Robins Air Force Base as a civil service employee until her retirement. Sylvia was a very faithful and Godly woman, who always prayed for every airman that passed through her care. She enjoyed making gift boxes, shopping at Goodwill, and donating to local charitable organizations. Her greatest joy and love were her family. In addition to her parents, Sylvia was preceded in death by two of her sons, Tommy and Joe Camp.

Left to cherish her memory is her children, Susan Lynn Camp, Stephen Kenneth Camp (Marsha), and Karen Rae Hammock; Grandchildren: Hayleigh Lynn Hammock, Kenneth Lee Camp, Anna Leigh Camp, Luke Joseph Camp and Samuel Kenneth Camp and three additional young ladies frequenting her life like Granddaughters, Sierrah Hammock, Summer Doney and Autumn Doney . Additionally she leaves behind two sisters, Toni Mollat (Art) and Kathleen McDaniel, a close family friend, Joette Stripling and many other friends that she loved through the years.
