Obituary for Taron Whitley Bone

Bonaire, GA – Taron Whitley Bone entered into rest on Wednesday July 14, 2021. She was born on September 13, 1965 to Charlotte Whitley Dorman and the late Gene Howell Whitley, and raised in Taylor County, GA. She was a Graduate of Taylor County High School.
Taron was a devoted wife and mother who dedicated her life to taking care of others. She considered herself a mother to many and proudly claimed them all. She was also a devoted grandparent (Sweet Tea) and friend.
Taron was a talented seamstress and designer and she used those skills to enhance the lives of others. Whether it was sewing, decorating a room, planning a party, or designing/refinishing/repurposing furniture, she was in her element and excelled. She exuded strength, determination, grace, and true southern charm and was our real-life steel magnolia.
Taron was preceded in death by her father Gene Whitley, father-in-law Clarence Taylor Bone, brother-in-laws Richard “Ricky” Bone, George Stephano, and nephew George Lawrence “Larson” Hunt Jr.
Taron is survived by her beloved husband, Samuel Bone; children: Ashton Arnold (Jarrett), Jordan Hileman (Steven), Samuel “Jobe” Bone, Ashley Basset (Will), Jennifer Powell (Don); grandchildren: Nelia Basset, Jack Manning Basset, Blakely Arnold, Hindley Hileman, and Owen Powell. She is also survived by her mother, Charlotte Dorman (Terry); siblings: Darla Hunt, Barry Whitley (Cindi), Gregory Whitley (Dayna); mother-in-law Marie Bone; sibling-in-laws: Willie Bone (Carolyn), Elaine Bone, Nancy Stephano; nieces/nephews: Payton Whitley, Abby Poole (Nathan), Kelly Eubanks (Tommy), Amanda Bone, Will Bone (Kristen), Jeff Irby, Gene Irby (Elizabeth), Rick Bone (Brittni); and many great- nieces/nephews.
Services celebrating her life will be held at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel on Friday July 23rd at 2pm, with visitation for family and friends one hour prior to the services. Interment will immediately follow at Sand Bethel Church Cemetery in Rupert, GA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Methodist Children’s Home.
