Obituary for Thelma G Wiggins (Goodrum)

Warner Robins, GA – Thelma (Goodrum) Wiggins, 71, life will be celebrated on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 11:00 am at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. Reverend Bob Gray will be officiating the services.
Thelma was born on September 16, 1949 in Perry, GA to the late John Ralph and Fannie Sue (Yawn) Goodrum. She was a dedicated and faithful homemaker always making sure the needs of her family were met. Thelma was a very artistic and eloquent writer. In fact, she wrote poetry and authored several short stories. She was also musically inclined and enjoyed playing various instruments. She enjoyed crocheting and taught crocheting at South Alabama College, the recreation center and from her home. In addition to her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter Harold Wiggins, Sr.; brother: John Ralph Goodrum, Jr.; sisters: Barbara Jackson and Laverne Merritt.
Left to cherish her memory is her son: Walter Harold Wiggins, Jr. (Marylou); daughters: Susanne Gray (John) and Patty Martin (Ken); grandchildren: Jeffrey Wiggins, Joseph Wiggins, Christopher Gray, Mathew Gray, Sara Anne Gray, Katie Hamm, Scott Martin and Lauran Martin; 10 great-grandchildren; sister: Shirley Faye Newman.
