Warner Robins, GA – Thomas Allen Cook, 78, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023, at Pine Pointe Hospice Inpatient Facility in Macon. Graveside services celebrating his life will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at 11:00 am at Rose Hill Cemetery in Macon, GA. The visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. Reverend Jay Lauritsen will be officiating the services.
Thomas was born on February 21, 1945, in Macon, GA to the late Myrtis and Nellie (Brady) Cook. He faithfully and honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. He was the former tax commissioner of Dekalb County. Thomas loved to travel and cheer on his Georgia Bulldogs. He was excellent when it came to music trivia. His greatest joy came from his family. In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lynn (Barton) Cook.
Left to cherish his memory are his children: Kellye Barton Lupica (Paul), Kristi Sanders (Shane), Chris Cook, April Cook MacFadyen, and Elisha Cook MacLellan (Mike); grandchildren: Ryan, Lauren, Rebecca, Megan, William, Reagan, Abigail, Ian, Will and many others; numerous great-grandchildren; several brothers and sisters.
