Obituary for Venita Galpin (Honnoll)

Centerville, GA – Venita Fay (Honnoll) Galpin, 96, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 30, 2020 at her residence, surrounded by her beloved family. A graveside service celebrating her life will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at 3:00 pm at Magnolia Park Cemetery with Reverend Jerry Walls officiating.
Mrs. Galpin was born on January 25, 1924 in Arkansas to the late James Edward and Luna Agnes (Higginbotham) Honnoll. She was a loving and devoted homemaker, who always welcomed people into her home for a hot meal and friendship. Mrs. Galpin never met a stranger and was always welcoming and willing to give a helping hand to those in need. She was an avid bowler and was a member of the Grandma’s Tea Party Bowling League. In fact, for 30 consecutive years they competed in the National Bowling League Tournaments around the country. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Galpin was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alvin Ernest Galpin.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Daniel L. Galpin of Warner Robins; daughter: Lorraine Galpin Mygrant of Centerville; 4 grandchildren: Lee Galpin, Jr., Jason Lowery, Andrew Lowery and Angela Lowery; 7 great-grandchildren: Daniel Galpin, III, Bryce Lowery, Dru Lowery, Maddison Lowery, Logan Pierce, Aayla Pierce and Eli Galpin; sister: Glendeen Barnett of Monette, AR.
