Vicki Backus Lavache peacefully died on April 26, 2022, in Warner Robins, GA. Services will be private at a later date in Jupiter, Florida when she returns home.
Vicki was born March 9, 1947, in Wausau, Wisconsin to the late Henry Charles and Joyce McIlraith Backus. As an entrepreneur, Vicki worked over 30 years in Palm Beach County, Florida providing financial, strategic, and logistical counsel to hundreds of clients. She was past president of the Northern Palm Beach Chapter of American Business Women’s Association.
After retiring in 2009, she moved to Warner Robins, GA where she volunteered over three thousand five hundred hours with the Houston Medical Center Auxiliary, serving two terms as Auxiliary President and one term as the Central District Auxiliary Director. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, reading, and her beloved cat. She could often be seen outdoors caring for her plants and tending to her lawn. Vicki especially loved attending theater performances at Warner Robins High School.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Alan Lavache and brother, Barry Bruce Backus.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Pamela Davis (Michael) of Warner Robins, GA and her son, Robert Lavache (Linda), of Warrington, VA; her brother Ronald Backus (Vickie) of Lake Worth, Florida; sister-in-law Sally Backus of Macon, GA; grandchildren: Julia, Katie, and William Davis and Lyla Lavache.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Houston Medical Center Auxiliary.
