Obituary for Victor Emmanuel Parrish

Perry, GA - Victor Emmanuel Parrish, age six, of Perry, Georgia, passed away peacefully in the arms of his parents, on Thursday, July 22nd, 2021, in Atlanta, Georgia, following an acute illness.
Victor was born in Bulgaria, where he lived until adopted by Steven and Anna Parrish in December of 2017. He joyfully became part of the family and was especially cherished by the siblings he joined at that time, Eddie, and Rosa Parrish. Victor loved being in a family, and our hearts were filled with joy when he became a big brother to Karyn in September of 2019. While Victor was undeniably affected by his profound disabilities, his life was full of peace, hope, love, and enjoyment. Victor had a great time on trips to the beach and the lake. He loved riding in the bike trailer and being spun in his wheelchair by Rosa. Victor enjoyed horseplay with his dad and had a smile that would light up a room. He would giggle and grin on bumpy rides in the stroller. Victor was cherished, and affectionately nicknamed “love sponge”. Karyn especially loved to surprise Victor with hugs and kisses!
Victor will be dearly missed by his father, Steven Parrish, his mother, Anna Parrish, and siblings Eddie, Rosa, and Karyn Parrish. Victor is also survived by his loving grandparents, Blair and Becky Faulk of Bulloch County, Georgia, and Jane Parrish, of Albany, Georgia, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service is planned on Saturday, July 31st, at 2:00 PM, at Sojourn Church, 2238 US Hwy 41 N, Perry, GA 31069, with a light reception to follow. Face coverings are preferred at the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in memory of Victor to Reece’s Rainbow, to promote the international adoption of children with special needs.
