Obituary for Wanda Jacquline McGee (McKinnon)

Kathleen, GA – Wanda Jacqueline (McKinnon) McGee, 84, went home to be with the Lord on May 25, 2022, at the Heart of Georgia Inpatient Unit in Perry, GA. Services celebrating her life will be held on Sunday, May 29, 2022, at 2:00 pm, at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory with interment immediately following at Magnolia Park Cemetery. Reverend Gary Morton will be officiating the services. The visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the services at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to, Second Baptist Church, 2504 Moody Road, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
Wanda was born on February 17, 1938, in Reddick, FL to the late Wesley Thomas McKinnon and the late Mildred (Denham) McKinnon. She was 1956 graduate of Warner Robins High School and was a member of the cheerleading squad for two years. Following graduation, Wanda began working civil service at Robins Air Force Base and eventually retired after 32 years as an Administrative Assistant. During her employment at Robins Air Force Base, she received many citations and awards. In her spare time, Wanda enjoyed cooking, sewing, traveling, and watching her grandsons participate in sports. Wanda was a faithful member of Second Baptist Church, and the Joy Jubilee Sunday School class. In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her brother, Glen Wayne McKinnon.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 65 years, Charles Harold McGee, her children: James Michael McGee, Kathleen; Teresa M. Smith, Warner Robins; and Mark McGee (Andrea), Warner Robins; her grandchildren: Ashley Campbell, Michael McGee, Taylor McGee, and Andrew McGee; 4 great-grandchildren.
