Byron, GA. – Warren G. Young of Byron, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at the age of 71. The family will host visitation on Saturday, April 2, 2022, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. Services celebrating his life will follow at 11:00 am in the chapel at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel. Reverend Phil Bryant will be officiating the services.
Warren was born in Fort Valley, Georgia to the late Warren Marshall Young and Ruby (Lowe) Young. Warren served in the United States Army. There’s nothing Warren loved more than to spend time with his family and friends and especially with his granddaughter, Harper. He loved sports in general but really enjoyed golfing and fishing. He also loved collecting and looking for arrowheads. Warren touched many lives and will be greatly missed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Deborah Lamberth.
Left to cherish the memories of Warren are his daughters: Lauren (Chris) Welchel of Warner Robins, GA, and Shelley (Josh) Clark of Rincon, GA; granddaughter: Harper Clark of Rincon, GA; his sister: Marsha (Brad) Blalock of Fort Valley, GA; brothers: Bernie (Kathy) Young of Macon, GA, and Stephen (Angela) Young of Fort Valley, GA; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and many lifelong friends.
