Obituary for Wendell Gaff

Perry, GA – Jesse Wendell Gaff, 81, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at his residence. Services celebrating his life will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory with interment immediately following at Centerville Cemetery. The visitation for family and friends will be one hour prior to the services at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. Pastor Mark Watkins and Pastor Wayne Edwards will be officiating the services.
Wendell was born on August 6, 1941 in Douglas, GA to the late Ira and Aline (Walls) Gaff. He was married to his high school sweetheart Lyn Murray for 61 years. He was a 1959 graduate of Coffee County High School. Wendell was a hard worker and took great pride in serving others. He was the owner of Metric Specialties. Wendell was a longtime member of Christian Hope where he served as a Board Member and was a Home Bound Member of Heritage Baptist. He enjoyed tinkering with old vehicles and working in his shop. In addition to his parents, Wendell was preceded in death by sisters: Ellen Gaff and Lois Spell; grandchild: Samuel Gaff.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife: Lyn (Murray) Gaff; children: Greg Gaff, Darleen Gaff, and Jeff (Sarah) Gaff; grandchildren; Logan and Derek Eberly, Caleb and Bobby Gaff, Hannah and Justin Woodard, Ashton Gaff, Luke Gaff, Abby Bedgood; great grandchildren; Simcha Gaff, Joseph Gaff, Ira Gaff, Madelyn Eberly, Isabell Eberly, Blake Woodard; brother: Leon Gaff (Judy) and many nieces and nephews.
