Bonaire, GA – William Arthur Choney, 85, died on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Heart of Georgia Inpatient Unit. Services celebrating his life will be held on Monday, January 4, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Andersonville National Cemetery with military honors. Pastor Gabe Cox will be officiating the services.
William was born on December 21, 1935 in Waterbury, CT. He was the son of the late Arthur and Stella Choney. He faithfully and honorably served his country in the United States Air Force, where he retired at the rank of Master Sergeant. William also worked at Brown & Williamson as an electrician, where he also retired. He was a former member of the Moose and Masonic Lodges and the VFW. He also enjoyed playing cribbage in his spare time.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Dean (Stephens) Choney of Bonaire; son: William Gregory Choney of Bonaire; daughter: Linda Derr (Jimmie) of Bonaire; grandchildren: Christa Darley (Jacob), Logan Choney, & Ashley Derr; great-grandchildren: Hana, Savannah, Foster & Violet; sister: Barbara Tsonis of Harpswell, ME; brother: Jeffrey Choney of Wellesley, MA.
